Embark on a captivating journey of connection and creativity with our Capturing Desire – The fundamentals of Shibari & Intimate Photography. Tailored for beginners and guided by the expertise of Conor Aphilia, A London based Rope Professional and Instructor.
This workshop is for couples who are at the start of their rope journey and wish to explore the sensual side to rope. No previous experience is needed. However an inherent interest in rope or curiosity is essential.
Conor added a unique aspect to the workshop – You will be shown the basic photography techniques required to incorporate the act of image taking into your play. – Capture your model in all the right ways!

During the workshop Conor will cover the following topics:
Learn to craft captivating and imaginative sessions that allow you to express your desires and fantasies and appreciate the beauty of the captured human form. Understand the mental and emotional aspects of rope play, creating an environment that allows both partners to explore and connect on a deeper level.
Explore ways you can use rope to make your partners feel vulnerable, exposed and sexually desired. The positions and the way in which rope is applied can draw attention to the model’s sexuality, and helplessness when they are bound in rope.
Rope allows us to indulge in a fantasy and share moments of romance and tenderness. Embrace and celebrate the unique beauty of each partner’s body, fostering a positive and empowering experience within the workshop. You will be shown the basic photography techniques required to incorporate the act of image taking into your play. Master the use of ropes to position your partner in ways that evoke connection and deepen the intimacy of the session.
Conor will guide you in mastering the techniques of tying your partner in a basic, and creatively expressive manner, creating an atmosphere of trust and exploration.
This workshop is conducted in English. Emphasizing the creative aspect, you discover how to use your environment, furniture, and space to your advantage when tying, creating connections that extend beyond the physical.

Conor Aphilia began his Kink Journey in 2014 upon arriving in London. His exploration of the city’s erotic underground led him to organize events and community groups, immersing himself in the nuances of the kink scene. The introduction of Rope in 2016 brought a profound shift, mending Conor’s relationship with intimacy and revealing the positive impact of physicality and sensuality.
Informed by the techniques and aesthetics of Japanese masters, Conor’s inclusive style, developed over years of study, welcomes individuals of all backgrounds. His unique blend of Western and Eastern perspectives, influenced by a background in design, shapes an evolving approach to Rope, creating an environment that transcends boundaries and celebrates diversity in the exploration of sensuality and connection.

You have the freedom to choose attire that resonates with you and feels comfortable, although for practical reasons, it’s advisable to steer clear of anything too strappy, fussy, or loose. To avoid discomfort, it’s recommended to skip underwired bras, as they may dig into the ribs. If in doubt, yoga clothes can serve as a practical and comfortable default option. – It is pleasantly warm in our Playroom because of the floor heating.
