This workshop is open to duos and solo attendees who are open to being paired up with another solo person. Sign ups are per person— buy two tickets if you are coming as a couple. Move from “that was nice” to “I can’t stop thinking about that”
There’s a kind of play that stays with you. Not because of what was done, but because of how deeply you were seen. This workshop is for the people who want to learn how to do that, to read a partner with precision, get inside their head, and create the kind of charged, intimate exchange that lingers long after the scene is over.
We borrow from an unlikely source: Sanford Meisner, the legendary acting teacher whose famous definition of his craft was living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. His repetition exercise trains people to drop the performance, sit in real emotion, and respond instinctively to whatever the other person is giving them. It happens to be exactly the skill set that makes erotic play feel alive instead of choreographed.
Together we’ll move from the verbal into the deeply non-verbal, practising how to stay grounded in yourself while staying tuned to your partner’s breath, micro-expressions, and shifts. You’ll learn to take off your own masks a little, let go of the resistance to vulnerability and big feelings, and look your partner in the eye without flinching.
What we’ll cover
Through guided exercises, you’ll practise:
Reading your partner with precision: expressions, shifts, emotions, attitudes
Heightening presence: staying fully in the moment, even under emotional intensity
Bringing greater authenticity and resonance to dirty talk, teasing, and shame play
Developing radical empathy: responding instinctively to what your partner is offering
Staying inside yourself while letting someone else fully in
We may use rope as one of the tools to play with during the workshop, but this is not a rope workshop and no Shibari knowledge is required. The skills you’ll take home apply across any kind of intimate play.
Who is this for
You want your play to move beyond technique into something unforgettable
You’re drawn to emotional depth and want practical tools to access it
You’re curious about what happens when you stop performing and start really seeing each other
You want to feel braver, both in being read, and in reading someone else
Open to All Levels
No prior rope, acting, or scene experience required. Just curiosity, openness, and a real interest in other human beings.
