Introduction to One Rope Play is a slow, sensuous exploration of rope designed for romantic couples and play partners who want to deepen connection through touch, trust, and erotic presence.
Inspired by Marie Sauvage’s refined, mindful approach to shibari, you’ll discover how a single rope can become an extension of desire, elegant, intentional, and deeply intimate. This space is not about performance or restraint; it’s about being seen, held, and met with presence by someone you trust.
This beginner+ workshop is ideal for those who have either attended one previous rope classor have practiced a single-column knot at home before joining us. (You can watch a demo video here.) We ask for this basic familiarity so the knot itself doesn’t feel entirely new. Allowing you to focus on embodiment, communication, and intimacy rather than only technique.
This workshop is in english.
What to expect
Across four hours of guided exploration, you’ll learn to merge simple technique with sensual dialogue:
Refining your single-column tie, the foundation of all rope work
Safety, consent, and communication as gateways to deeper freedom
Rope as erotic conversation: leading, yielding, and responding
Working with breath, pacing, intention, and energetic exchange
Integrating rope into your dynamic—from soft sensuality to playful power
This experience remains beginner-friendly, but invites a slightly deeper level of engagement. You’ll leave with practical skills, embodied confidence, and a renewed connection to each other.
For who?
For couples and play partners who:
Already share trust.
Have done at least one rope workshop or practiced a single-column knot at home.
Wish to explore rope as a pathway into deeper erotic, emotional, and energetic intimacy.
This is a beginner+ workshop. You don’t need extensive experience, but you should have:
Attended at least one rope class before or
Practiced a single-column knot at home (you can watch the demo video beforehand).
We ask for this small foundation so the technique doesn’t feel entirely new, allowing you to focus on presence, sensuality, and connection.
This workshop is perfect for those curious about sensual mindfulness, power dynamics and refined, intentional rope in an elegant and grounded environment. Limited to 8 duos for privacy, comfort, and personal guidance.
The Teacher: Marie Sauvage
Marie Sauvage is a Paris-based shibari artist whose work weaves sensuality, art, and ritual. Trained at Parsons Paris and mentored by Japanese master Hajime Kinoko and Yagami Ren, she transforms rope into a language of connection, sculpting the body with tenderness and precision.
One of the few women to perform shibari publicly, Marie brings a distinctly feminine presence to this traditionally male-dominated art. Her performances blur the line between eroticism and meditation, where vulnerability becomes beauty and surrender becomes strength.
For Marie, shibari is not about restraint, it’s about trust, awareness, and the quiet power of being seen. Each tie is an act of reverence, each performance a reminder of what it means to feel deeply alive
The Model: Zoë
Zoe is a rope switch whose practice is shaped by both sides of the rope. Her experience as a rigger informs the sensitivity of her modeling, while her time as a model refines the attunement and precision she brings when she ties. This interplay creates a dynamic, intuitive presence, a fluid dialogue of movement, tension, and the subtle push–pull between rigger and model.
Dresscode
Dress in a way that supports comfort and embodied learning. whether you’re tying or being tied. Soft, flexible layers work best: silk, jersey, modal, bamboo, mesh, or lightweight cotton. Avoid stiff or restrictive fabrics.
If you may be tied:
Wear something that allows smooth rope contact on skin: soft tops or no top, form-fitted pieces, relaxed layers you can slip off, or lingerie.
Underwire bras, thick seams, or structured garments are not ideal for rope and may be uncomfortable.
Soft shorts, loose trousers, or underwear you feel at ease in if layers shift.
If you may be tying:
Choose clothing that allows full movement and ease: soft pants or leggings, breathable tops, unrestrictive layers.
This is an intimate but learning-focused space. Dress in what allows you to stay comfortable, grounded, and connected, the sensuality will come through naturally as you practice. A changing area and all material is provided.
